To Rock or not to Rock
Ya know, I got to thinking. ( I do that once in a while )
Why am I trying so hard to make him go to sleep on his own.
I hear from everyone that I have to do this...
I'm not a stay at home mother. I loose him for ten hours a day. I don't breast feed, so I loose that bonding experience also. All I have is that sweet moment of rocking with him and singing lullabies while he looks into my eyes and drifts off. I'm not ready to give that up. I have to little time with him. If that is considered the wrong thing to do, well screw it! He needs that time, love and support from mommy and daddy because he only sees us about two hours a night. And I need it too.
They tell you not too make them grow up to fast, enjoy them now. That's the advice I'll follow.

Nobody is actually saying that it is wrong to do - just that it will be harder and harder to break the habit the older he gets and the more accustomed to it he gets. If it makes you both happy - I say "Go for it!!!".

Ya know that "Ya know,I got to thinking" stuff is dangerous - I really don't recommend it.....
