I think I figured out why all my efforts did not work with the weight of the baby.

I was so obsessed with my sugar levels that I lost track of the fat intake. It seems low sugar = high fat and low fat = high sugar. I took a look at the "diabetese" ice cream bars I've been eating. They have ten grams of fat in each bar... low sugar but LOTS of fat!

Where is the middle ground?

I've decided to create a new section called "the skinny on skinny" I'm going to log all my efforts to see what actually works.

I wish I would have figured all this out before Quinn almost doubled in weight but it's never too late. He still has two to three weeks of living off my diet! Of course I realize I can't "diet" right now but I will work on cutting out the high fat snacks and just eating the essentials. Protein, grains, fruit, veggies...

This small stint with Diabetese is a bitch, and since it is more likely to get full blown diabetese after having "gestational" I will make EVERY effort to improve my diet.

This has been a wake up call.
